Alice

Traditional portraiture often seeks to record appearance. This project takes a different approach, exploring movement, light and time as a way of expressing emotion, presence and experience. Through long exposures and flowing fabric, the photographs move beyond the literal, allowing the traces of movement to become part of the portrait itself.

Created in collaboration with Alice, the series evolved through trust, experimentation and spontaneous movement rather than rigid direction. Instead of asking the subject to hold a pose, the camera was used to capture moments of transition—where gesture, expression and motion combined to reveal something more than physical form.

The resulting images are not intended to define a person. They are an invitation to experience a feeling. Each photograph offers only part of the story, leaving space for the viewer to bring their own memories, emotions and interpretations.
