my photography
Photography is my way of exploring how we experience the world, rather than simply how it looks.
My work is driven by curiosity—about people, movement, light, and the emotions that exist beneath the surface. I create photographs that invite reflection rather than provide answers, leaving space for viewers to bring their own experiences and interpretations to each image.
I believe the most compelling photographs are those that stay with us long after we've looked away.
my background
My interest in photography began in high school, where I learnt to shoot and develop black and white film in the darkroom. Watching an image slowly emerge on photographic paper sparked a fascination that has stayed with me ever since.
I went on to study photography, filmmaking and television production at the Queensland College of Art, where I developed a strong appreciation for visual storytelling and the ways images can communicate ideas, emotion and atmosphere.
Professionally, I work in education, designing learning experiences for medical professionals.
Bringing together education, design, technology and storytelling, my work is focused on helping people connect with ideas in meaningful ways. That same interest in communication and human connection naturally influences my photography, where I seek to create images that invite curiosity, reflection and personal interpretation.
Today I continue to develop my photographic practice through active involvement with the Brisbane Camera Group, where I enjoy exhibiting, participating in competitions and learning alongside a community of talented photographers.
Drawing on experience in photography, film, television and education, I continue to explore photography as a medium for storytelling, interpretation and connection. My work is less about documenting the world as it appears, and more about expressing how it is experienced.
I am a passionate member of Brisbane Camera Group.
